URGENT DOGS NEED HELP!!
We have 4 adult dogs that are being kicked out of our veterinary provider kennels due to our exponentially growing debt. Each month, our boarding bill for the 4 dogs is $3360. Please help us spread the word to find these 4 an experienced foster home, or even better, an adopting family!
Here are their background stories, in brief. We can provide more details if you contact us below. Thank you for your consideration and help.
Sophie is a people friendly gal, but selective with dogs, and needs an experienced handler to ensure her success outside of a kennel environment. Sophie is a terrier/pit bull mix, DOB est.11/20/2014, spayed female. Sophie was found astray in Philadelphia, pulled from the Timestamp at ACCT on 11/26/2017 and went directly to foster care. Sophie has been in and out of foster care, boarding/training programs, and has been stuck in kennel boarding since 12/30/2018, at our veterinary provider because of her unpredictable dog selectivity.
Ella is a terrier/pit bull mix, she is estimated to be approx.. 6 years old, spayed female. Ella loves people, but is dog selective, and needs an experienced handler to ensure her success. Here is her back story: Ella was found astray in Philadelphia, pulled from the Timestamp at ACCT on 9/22/2017 and went directly to foster care, was doing well and went to a boarding/daycare program for fun and socialization, but things got out of control and Ella had to be placed into boarding at our veterinary provider where she has been since 11/22/2017.
Sheila is our most highly educated gals! Sheila is a boxer/pit bull mix, she is estimated to be approx.. 7 years old, spayed female. Not only is she smart & funny she also has manners. This girl has been professionally trained with the help of many volunteers and guided by a Certified Professional Dog Trainer Marion C. O’Neil CPDT-KA via a program called “Student’s Save Lives” at Molasses Creek Dog Training in Quakertown. This is a program which aides in the rehabilitation and adoption of rescue dogs. Sheila has earned two diplomas for passing all the requirements for Adult/Teen Rover I Manners Class and Focus with Distraction Class. Currently she is working on her Canine Good Citizen certificate. She has been taught clicker training with huge success at hand targeting, to give attention with eye contact, recall, sit, down, stand, get in the heel position, loose leash walking, stay, wait, leave it, go to place (mat work). She loves praise, training, mental stimulation but mostly peanut butter! Sheila was found by a Good Samaritan tied to a pole in Philadelphia, we pulled her from the Timestamp at ACCT on 12/13/2017 and she went directly to foster care. Sheila found herself back at ACCT due to a family crisis situation, unbeknownst to us until we got the call on New Years Eve 2017. We immediately retrieved her but had no experienced foster providers available and have been boarding Sheila at our veterinary provider since that time.
Molly is a hound/pit bull mix, 1.5 year-old, spayed female, house and crate trained. Molly is a very loving and loyal girl, loves walks and gets so excited to meet new people! While in foster care, Molly was doing fine and even sleeping in bed with the other dogs every night. Sadly, there was an incident in the foster home with the resident dogs, so Molly had to be removed and was sent to kennel boarding at our veterinary provider since 2/26/2019.
